Is VidScripta free?

Yes. You can try a transcription without an account, and a free account gives you a transcription every 24 hours. Paid plans add more transcriptions and longer videos. No credit card is needed to start.

Which platforms does VidScripta support?

Do I get timestamps?

Yes. Every transcript is split into segments with timestamps. You can copy it with timestamps, or switch to plain text and copy just the words.

Can I transcribe only part of a video?

Yes. Set a start and end time before you transcribe, and VidScripta only transcribes that section — useful for pulling a single quote or clip.

What if the video has no captions?

VidScripta uses the video's captions when they exist, and falls back to AI speech recognition on the audio when they do not, so videos without subtitles still work.

Can I transcribe private videos?

No. VidScripta can only transcribe videos that are publicly viewable. Private, friends-only and age-restricted videos can't be accessed.
